Tomorrow's Teachers

The first marking period was full of excitement for our Tomorrow’s Teachers students! They dove into the work of influential psychologists like Erikson, Vygotsky, and Piaget, exploring how children grow and learn. Our future educators participated in hands-on activities to better understand learning styles and key areas of development—physical, cognitive, psychosocial, and moral. They even built a classroom bulletin board and picked up some teacher-ready skills, like using the copy machine and laminator!

To wrap up the quarter, students spent two days observing classrooms at North End, South End, and MMS, gaining real-world experience and inspiration for their future careers in education. Next semester, these aspiring teachers will begin internships with mentor teachers at the grade level that most interests them. What an exciting next step in their teaching journey!
