STEM

Our 6th Grade STEM students at MMS have absolutely shattered expectations in this year's bridge breaking competition, delivering results that showcase their exceptional engineering prowess and dedication to excellence!

This year's project took our structural engineering challenge to new heights as students explored three distinct types of trusses in their bridge designs. Through hands-on investigation of these different structural configurations, students discovered how various geometric patterns and load distribution strategies affect overall bridge performance. Working collaboratively with popsicle sticks, glue, rubber bands, and binder clips, teams applied biomimicry principles to create remarkably innovative designs.
