As the eighth graders are working on The Diary of Anne Frank and related Holocaust studies, they had the opportunity to attend a presentation by Holocaust survivor Paulette Dorflaufer, on Friday, May 15th, during their ELA classes.
Paulette Dorflaufer, 82, is a beloved crossing guard nicknamed the "Crossing Guard Diva" for her glamorous style, having gone viral for her fashion and profound life story. A Holocaust survivor from France, she survived as a baby after a nurse hid her from the Gestapo.
