Cedar Grove Kindergarten registration will take place on Saturday February 7th and Saturday March 7th from 9:00am to 12:00pm. No appointment is necessary. Registration will take place at your home school. If you are unsure of what school your child will be attending please call the office 973-239-1550 x 6200 and they can direct you. You can find the kindergarten registration forms on the district website: cgschools.org. Please bring with you all required documents, partial applications will not be accepted. Please provide copies of all proofs of residency. If your child is due for the physical after registration you can submit the physical form prior to starting in September. All other documents must be provided at registration. If you have any questions email registrar@cgschools.org

We are excited to offer a voluntary summer reading opportunity for all K-2 and 3-4 students. Reading or listening to books over the summer helps students maintain their skills and grow as learners. However, these activities are completely optional and are designed to keep young minds engaged and learning throughout the summer months while still encouraging them to enjoy the lazy, hazy days of the season.
To encourage participation, we are offering a special contest! Students who read books (or listen to books) during the summer will be entered into a drawing to have lunch with their principal in the fall (date to be determined). A praying mantis egg case was found at NE! Third grade scientists had a chance to observe about 200 babies and then release them!
