The Week of Respect takes place during the first full week of October and is an important time for all New Jersey public schools to focus on awareness, education, and action against harassment, intimidation, and bullying. This week is also a chance to empower students to speak up if they see something that makes them feel uncomfortable or concerned.

In our classrooms, we’ve been focusing on the Golden Rule: Treat others the way you want to be treated. We encourage you to continue reinforcing this message at home to help foster a culture of kindness and respect. To celebrate the Week of Respect, we will have special dress-up theme days each day.

  • Monday, October 6th Put bullying to bed Wear your favorite pajamas

  • Tuesday, October 7th Respecting Differences Wear mismatched clothes, crazy socks, or style your hair any way you want to express yourself

  • Wednesday, October 8th * PICTURE DAY Dress to respect We are polished for positivity. Wear your nicest clothes for picture day!

  • Thursday, October 9th Being a friend is no Sweat Wear your favorite sweatshirt and sweatpants

  • Friday, October 10th Respect your School Wear Black and Gold
