To end the Geography unit in third grade, the students celebrated “Around the World” Day! Each third grade class was given a continent to focus on where they would work in groups to research and share information about some of the countries within that continent! The students worked hard to not only research information about these countries, but create posters to present to their peers during this special day. They focused on their country’s climate, famous landmarks, history, special foods, and holidays and traditions.
During Around the World Day, the students also took part in a grade-wide Kahoot Trivia game to test their knowledge on these continents! The day ended with fun pictures using a photobooth and props!
