Kindergarten is gearing up for 1st grade in Library Media Class! Ms. Fitzpatrick introduced her students to her Google Classroom, showing them how to access important links to develop computer skills. Many of the activities and games prepare students for the 1st grade level by requiring them to use the track pad to click, drag, and scroll and use the keyboard to type letters. The early elementary program in Typetastic! helps students develop and refine these skills while also familiarizing them with the keyboard layout. The clicking and dragging skills are especially important in preparation for the code.org computer programming unit starting next week!
