What a wonderful month we've had in the South End Art Room! It was such a joy to celebrate our students' creativity and hard work.Even though the Art Show has wrapped up, we're not slowing down! We have lots of exciting projects planned to finish out the school year.Our Preschool artists will be creating fun, summer-themed masterpieces to welcome the sunny season.Kindergarten students will be inspired by artist Paul Klee as they create colorful cat portraits using lots of shapes.First graders will explore the bold and playful cat artwork of Laurel Burch, using bright colors and imaginative patterns.Second graders will be diving into nonfiction as they learn about sea turtles and create detailed sea turtle drawings inspired by these incredible ocean animals.Third and Fourth Grade artists will be exploring the exciting world of Pop Art, taking inspiration from famous artists Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein to create bold works of their own.
